Rice’s Visual and Dramatic Arts Department will perform “On the Verge or The Geography of Sehnsucht” on October 8th and 9th at 8:00 pm in Hamman Hall with a 3:00 pm matinee on October 10th. Student tickets are $ 5, faculty and staff tickets are $ 8, and general admission is $ 10.


The Horror Art Exhibit of the Prime Art Gallery will open six rooms with horror art to the public on October 10th and will remain open until October 31st. Admission is $ 10 and can be purchased in advance on-line.


The “42. Annual Festival Chicano “takes place on October 9th from 2pm to 6pm at the Miller Outdoor Theater. The festival is a reflection of a celebration of culture with multiple musical performances. Tickets are free, but can be reserved on-line ahead of the times.


From October 7th to 9th, enjoy live music and dancing, dining, shopping and more at the Original Greek Festival, held in the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Cathedral. The festival takes place on October 7th from 5pm to 10pm and on October 8th and 9th from 11am to 10pm. Entry is $ 5.
