National Bonsai Exhibition comes to Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS, NC (WBTV) – Bonsai hobbyists, gardeners and art lovers can all delight in the beauty of these small trees when bonsai artists and dealers from across the US exhibit their trees. This is a great opportunity to learn about this art and hobby, buy a tree, or buy supplies.

For the tenth time, bonsai artists from across the United States will be exhibiting their bonsai trees in the exceptionally beautiful, marble-lined domed atrium at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis (a short drive north of Charlotte on I-85).

That Winter silhouette bonsai show will be held on Saturday, December 3 (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and Sunday, December 4 (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) 2022 at the North Carolina Research Campus, 150 N Research Campus Drive, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Both newbies and veteran hobbyists can attend free bonsai demos/lessons held daily at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Famous bonsai masters will be teaching these demos (William Valavanis from New York, Rodney Clemons from Georgia and Tyler Sherrod from North Carolina). At 5:30 p.m Saturday December 3rd There will be a bonsai auction open to all.
