European textile company Nextil will open a textile factory in Guatemala in 2023

The Spanish textile company Nextil Group will open a new textile production facility in Guatemala, a country with a long textile tradition. The 25,000 square meter plant is scheduled to go into operation in the first quarter of 2023. It is located 30 minutes from the city of Guatemala and has easy access to the Atlantic, Pacific and Pan-American roads.

The geographical location of the plant gives the Nextil Group access to the mass production market in competition with Asian suppliers, enables the return of items that are currently missing and enables preferential tariff regulations for logistics and distribution. With a total investment of € 40 million, the new production facility will have 350 local employees with salary payments that will increase as the pace of production increases.
