Anniversary Bleach Exhibition Reveals Art from Naruto, One Piece, and Demon Slayer creators

Eiichiro Oda, Masashi Kishimoto, and five more of the manga industry’s best creators unveil new artworks celebrating Tite Kubo’s Bleach.

Several of the manga industry’s finest creators unveil new artworks in honor of Tite Kubo bleaching.

As unofficially reported by Shonen Jump News – including seven of the top manga creators One pieceis Eiichiro Oda, Naruto‘s Masashi Kishimoto, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba‘s Koyoharu Gotouge, have teamed up to create art for the upcoming Bleach EX art exhibition. In addition to these three, the exhibition also shows guest illustrations by Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Gege Akutami, Black cloverYuki Tabata, Assassination classroom‘s Yusei Matsui, and Dr. stoneis Riichiro Inagaki. The exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original publication of Tite Kubo’s popular Shonen manga, and features art from across the series as well as entirely new pieces created by Kubo himself. The art gallery opened in Tokyo, Japan on December 18.

bleaching Originally premiered in 2001, the manga series is the eleventh best-selling manga series in history with a circulation of over 120 million copies worldwide. In addition to Kubo himself, many of the exhibition guest artists are among the most successful creators in the anime and manga industry: Koyoharu Gotouges Demon Hunter is the latest addition to the list of the top 10 best-selling manga of all time, with over 150 million copies sold; Masashi Kishimotos Naruto with an edition of a quarter of a billion copies in fifth place, and of course Eiichiro Odas One piece remains the most successful manga series in history with a worldwide circulation of 500 million copies. Oda’s longstanding pirate epic will surpass the lifetime sales of the Harry Potter Book series and Batman Comics before the end of the year. Gege Akutamis Jujutsu Kaisen is much newer than its peers’ series, but the Dark Fantasy Shonen is already well on the way to becoming the next hit to break the 100 million circulation mark. Since its debut in 2018, Akutami’s manga has sold more than 60 million copies and has done well Demon Hunter become the best-selling manga of 2021.


Tite Kubos bleaching has recently seen a resurgence in popularity as the series announced a number of comebacks during its 20th year existence. The anime adaptation recently revealed the first trailer for the show’s long-awaited return; now titled Bleach: Millennial Blood War, the new season of the series will adapt the chapters of Kubo’s manga that were released after the original anime ended its broadcasts. At the beginning of this year Kubo also released “No Breaths from Hell”, the first new chapter of the bleaching Manga since 2016. Although nothing has been officially announced, the new chapter seems to open a new adventure for Ichigo and the rest of the Soul Reapers, leading many fans to believe that a sequel series is imminent.
